Covers and Live songs I've been moved to mess with from time to time. I like to take a song I love and put my own stamp on it. Please direct any comments to hhouston@heathhouston.net

Blame it on the Tetons (Modest Mouse) - This song got stuck in my head really bad one day so I played through it a few times and recorded it for the hell of it.

Stand Inside Your Love (Smashing Pumpkins) - I did this one for my wife while she was far away, so I could send it to her.

Inbetween Days (The Cure) - I'm not nuts about the vocals on this, but I do like the arrangement.

Your Misfortune (Mike Doughty) - Another one for my wife. This was recorded live at a place in Biloxi, MS.

Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen/Jeff Buckley) - An amazing song. This one was done live at Don's in Denver, CO. First half of the vocals are not too great, but they get better as I sort of find myself in the song. It would have been nice to "find myself" before getting on stage, though.

Dreaming my Dream (The Cranberries) - Great song, done not so great by me. Another one for my wife while she was away.

I'll Fall With Your Knife (Peter Murphy) - Long time ago at Hal and mals in Jackson, MS. I was very inexperienced, very nervous, and shakey. I'm playing the electric guitar and singing. Johnny Turner is on the acoustic guitar that comes in, and Reverend Romp (the now deceased drum machine) provided percussion.
